| Host A Workshop |
Fee: Free for two guests of your choice. $349 thereafter.
As an alternative to private on-site training, we offer the Open Workshop hosting option. This is an excellent, low-risk opportunity to discover AIMSweb and receive premier training--especially for organizations that wish to learn more about AIMSweb and/or train staff members during the process. Training is geared toward training Local AIMSweb Managers (LAMs) and done in a train-the-trainer style. These workshops build capacity at the local level.
To host, simply open your doors and computer lab (or portable lab) for two or more consecutive days, provide a few light refreshments, and we take care of the rest! We provide materials, and will send a Certified AIMSweb Trainer (CAT) to your site to conduct the workshop. Additionally, we provide you with an electronic brochure about your training for distribution and handle all registrations/payment via our website.
Registration is free for your first two guests (of your choice) and $349 per person thereafter. Materials are included.
This opportunity is excellent for:
- Organizations who wish to train leaders and build capacity at the local level
- Training smaller numbers of new hires into organizations that are veteran AIMSweb users
- University training and workshops
- Organizations who wish to offer Professional Development and community-based workshops at little direct cost
- Tiered organizations and LEAs that wish to train leaders across multiple sub-level organizations, such as ISDs or BOCES who wishes to have large-scale implementation of AIMSweb across multiple districts. This allows for each district to purchase training for each participant as needed.
- Organizations who wish to learn more about AIMSweb before making a commitment to the system
- Organizations who wish to train a small number of people and for whom private workshops are not an option due to budget
- Those who are working to introduce AIMSweb into the schools and would like to inform colleagues about the scope and capacity of the AIMSweb assessment system
How do I become a host site?
1. Primary requirements for becoming a host site include:
- You must be located in an area with reasonable proximity to quality lodging, restaurants, and access by road.
- Approval for host sites is granted on multiple factors, including regional demand for training, location, facilities, and date(s) available.
- You must have a computer lab and/or portable lab with solid high-speed internet capacity.
- Lab (or portable lab) must have a minimum of 19 computers/seats available, plus a master workstation.
- You must be able to host over two consecutive days and provide light refreshments. Attendees are dismissed for lunch at local establishments of their choice.
- You do not need to be a current subscriber to AIMSweb to be a host site.
- We prefer a minimum of 6-8 weeks lead time prior to your training so that your workshop may be posted to the AIMSweb website for registration.
- Workshops are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not achieved 21 days in advance of scheduled date.
- Items contained within the Technology Checklist must be addressed prior to your training. The Palm/Pen items may be omitted. This document is extremely important. Ensure your Internet Technology department reviews it prior to your training and/or subscription to AIMSweb.
- We have year-round opportunity for trainings. Inquire today!
