| Certified AIMSweb Training Application |
How do I become a CAT?
We annually seek potential candidates for our Certified AIMSweb Trainer (CAT) Program. CAT certification is earned via an application, acceptance, and advance training process. CAT candidates who successfully complete the training and certification process are then eligible to become contracted trainers through Pearson (formerly Harcourt Assessment, Inc.) and AIMSweb.
In other words, once you successfully complete the CAT Training program, we coordinate with you to provide training and consultation services for all of our customers, nationwide!
How often do CATs work?
CATs with whom we currently contract work at-will and as their schedule allows. CATs are not employees, but are per-diem, independent contractors through Pearson, Inc. As CAT consultative services are requested by customers, CATs are then contracted through us and paid a very competitive stipend, plus all travel and related expenses for conducting our professional suite of AIMSweb training and consultative services.
Many CATs train on occasion while retaining their full-time employment status with their current employer. Others contract with us to conduct training as part of their spectrum of services they provide via independent consulting businesses. Though we provide a tremendous amount of CAT Training and Consultation Services year-round, May through October is an especially busy time for AIMSweb Trainings. Many CATs work full or part time in their schools and then generate additional income while contracting through us over the summer to provide training nationwide.
Earning CAT Certification requires:

You also must have a background in curriculum-based measurement accompanied by specific and involved experience in the implementation of AIMSWeb Benchmark, Progress Monitor, and Response to Intervention (RTI) systems.
