AIMSweb® Universal Screening (Tier 1)
& System Management (2-day Workshop):

Program Evaluation for Core Instruction (Tier 1) & Screening:

Workshop includes two consecutive days of instruction and five hours of additional consultation. Training is typically provided in a train-the-trainer model with content licensed for use at your local site. Instruction will be provided by a Certified AIMSweb® Trainer (CAT) and include a basic introduction to data-based decision making, program evaluation, and using AIMSweb® for benchmarking (universal screening three times per year). The package also includes basic software setup and management training.

2-day workshop + 5 hours webinar/phone consultation.

$4900 (two non-consecutive days)

About Pricing: Prices listed are "all inclusive/flat rate." Price includes your Certified AIMSweb® Trainer and all travel-related expenses for most workshops conducted within the continental United States. Please inquire for rates to Alaska, Hawai'i, Canada, or other international locations.

Who should attend:

  • Local AIMSweb® Managers (LAMs) (Typically 3-6 designees per school and district who will participate in a turnkey train-the-local-trainer model). LAMs then become leaders in their buildings, training other staff to use AIMSweb®.
  • Schools may also send all staff members who wish to learn to use AIMSweb®*.
    (*Class sizes are limited to about 25-30 attendees; therefore, special pricing and packaging will need to be discussed with the training dept. ahead of time)
  • District-level staff who wish to learn more about AIMSweb®, understand its use at the school level, learn how to administer and score measures, build school and district protocol for implementation and use, and become a Local AIMSweb® Manager.
  • It is strongly recommended that at least one school or district-level administrator attend the full workshop.

Day 1:

8:00am: Introductions Activity
8:15am: Becoming a Local AIMSweb Manager (LAM): Introduction to the train-the-trainer model for AIMSweb and tips for conducting training professional development within your organization.
8:30am: Using AIMSweb for Universal Screening, Progress Monitoring, Program Evaluation Data-Based Decision Making. Local AIMSweb Managers (LAMs) will understand how AIMSweb works as a Universal Screener, Progress Monitoring tool, and assist with program evaluation for core instruction across groups through to evaluating the instructional efficacy for students receiving intensive intervention. Activities will be used to facilitate successful turnkey training at your local site.

10:45am: Administration and Scoring of AIMSweb Measures:
(Choose up to two of the following modules):
  • Tests of Early Literacy (TEL)
  • Tests of Early Numeracy (TEN)
  • Reading Curriculum-Based Measurement (R-CBM) MAZE
  • Math Computation (M-COMP); Math Concepts & Applications (M-CAP)
  • Written Expression Spelling
12:00pm: Lunch (on your own)
1:00pm: Administration and Scoring of AIMSweb Measures (Continued):
Your CAT will continue training on the modules selected above.
3:00pm: Break
3:15pm: Q&A, Review, and Implementation:
Your CAT will review critical information and help inform your decision-making with regard to implementation of today’s modules at your sites. Additionally, in preparation for delivering content to your sites, LAMs will work in small groups to process and practice the information they have learned today and build an action-plan for how they will rollout training for these modules and support staff at school site(s). The CAT will provide instruction and guidance, to support informed decision-making, and offer support throughout this activity.

Day 2:

8:00am: Warm-up, FAQ activity
8:30am:

Introduction to AIMSweb Software for Benchmark: (A computer and internet connection per participant are required.) Participants will learn how to use the AIMSweb Software for Benchmark (universal screening). Training will also be provided for Browser-Based Scoring of AIMSweb's orally administered measures for those organizations who have selected this upgrade.
Using specially designed software training accounts, users will be lead through the process of entering students' benchmark scores and interpreting several of the most commonly used reports. Practice activities are interwoven which enhance information retention. A training guide is also provided so that turnkey trainers may provide software training successfully to their staff at their sites.

10:45am: Introductory Management of the AIMSweb System: School Managers
LAMs will be introduced to basic-level management features of AIMSweb Software that include:
  • NCES numbers, security, and primary contact functionality
  • Adding, activating and deactivating user accounts
  • Data entry and basic reporting within the School Manager access level
  • Dialogue with district regarding permissions and restrictions for student information, adding/deleting students, testing windows and data entry windows, more.

1:00pm: Practice Activities for AIMSweb Software Management: School Manager
LAMs will participate in a self-paced practice exercise designed to further enhance their abilities to manage the AIMSweb system at the school level.

Concurrent Introductory Training for AIMSweb® Software Management: District/Customer-Level
While LAMs are working independently, your CAT trainer will work with a small group of participants who will be managing the AIMSweb® system at the District/Customer level. As additional functionality and information is made available at these higher levels of access within AIMSweb®, this training will further support the successful use of the system across your organization.
Continued training will be provided to District/Customer-Level Managers via webinar and/or consultation prior to and/or following the on-site training.
