Progress Monitor

Getting Started: Progress Monitor (Tier 2-3+) & System Management (2-day workshop):

Introduction to Goal Setting and Frequent Progress Monitoring for Students Receiving Intervention (Tiers 2-3+):

This workshop is conducted by a Certified AIMSweb® Trainer (CAT) in a train-the-trainer model for Local AIMSweb® Managers (LAMs). It is specifically designed for organizations that are new to AIMSweb® and wish to use it solely for Progress Monitoring (Tier 2-3+).

This workshop includes two consecutive days of instruction and five hours of additional consultation. The session is provided in a train-the-trainer model with content licensed for use at your local site. Instruction will provide learners with critical skills for monitoring outcomes for students who need additional academic support or intervention. Participants will learn the basics of goal-setting, data interpretation, using data to inform instruction, software use, and management of the AIMSweb® system. Workshop includes training on management of the AIMSweb® system for key district staff assigned to manage AIMSweb®.

2-day workshop + 5 hours webinar/phone consultation.
Choose either format:

$4500* (two consecutive days)
$4900* (two non-consecutive days)

About Pricing: Prices listed are "all inclusive/flat rate." Price includes your Certified AIMSweb® Trainer and all travel-related expenses for most workshops conducted within the continental United States. Please inquire for rates to Alaska, Hawai'i, Canada, or other international locations.

Who should attend:

  • Local AIMSweb® Managers (LAMs) (Typically 3-6 designees per school and/or district who will participate in a turnkey train-the-local-trainer model). LAMs then become leaders in their buildings, training other staff to use AIMSweb®.
  • Schools may also send all staff members who wish to learn to use AIMSweb®*.
(*Class sizes are limited to about 25-30 attendees. Therefore, please contact the Training Department to arrange for alternate pricing and agendas if the entire staff is to be trained.)
  • District-level staff who wish to learn more about AIMSweb®, understand its use at the school level, learn how to administer and score measures, build school and district protocol for implementation and use, and become a Local AIMSweb® Manager.
  • It is strongly recommended that at least one school or district-level administrator attend the full workshop.

Progress Monitor (Tier 3) is one of the most detailed and powerful assessment tools available via AIMSweb for determining the progress of individual student achievement over time. Used primarily for students at significant risk of academic failure, it aids in efficient instruction and resource allocation by informing staff about of "what works" and "what doesn't work" for individual students. This comprehensive module will train LAMs on how to use Progress Monitor for determining students' "success levels," setting appropriate goals, determining instructional need. Best practices for frequent data collection, describing interventions, and interpreting student data in meaningful ways will also be covered.
4:00pm: End of Day 1.

Day 2:

8:00am: Warm-up, FAQ activity
8:15am: The Art and Science of Frequent Progress Monitoring (Part 2):
