1-day Intensive: Progress Monitor (Tier 2-3+) with AIMSweb® for Academics (1-day workshop):
Introduction to Goal Setting and Frequent Progress Monitoring for Students Receiving Intervention (Tiers 2-3+):
This workshop, provided by a Certified AIMSweb® Trainer (CAT), is specifically designed for organizations that are familiar with AIMSweb® for academics, have conducted Universal Screening using AIMSweb®, and would like to enhance their skills in using AIMSweb® Progress Monitor.
This workshop includes one day of instruction and one hour of additional webinar or phone-based consultation. Instruction will provide learners with critical skills for monitoring outcomes for students who need additional academic support or intervention. Participants will learn the basics of goal-setting, using data to inform instruction, data interpretation, and software use. Workshop does not include training on the management of the AIMSweb® system (i.e., School or District-level management functionality.)

Who should attend:
- Organization may send any staff members who wish to learn to use AIMSweb®* for progress monitoring. (*Class sizes are limited to about 25-30 attendees, however.
- District-level staff who wish to learn more about AIMSweb® for Progress Monitoring, understand its use at the school level, and build school and district protocol for implementation and use.
- It is strongly recommended that at least one school or district-level administrator attend the full workshop.
As this session builds upon previously learned skills, this one-day intensive workshop is specifically designed only for schools that have already successfully used AIMSweb® for Benchmarking/Universal Screening.

| 8:30am: | The Art and Science of Frequent Progress Monitoring (Part 1): Progress Monitor (Tier 3) is one of the most detailed and powerful assessment tools available via AIMSweb for measuring individual student progress over time. It is specifically used primarily for students at significant risk of academic failure and is designed to aid educators in determining the efficacy of instructional programs. It aids in efficient instruction and resource allocation by informing staff about of "what works" and "what doesn't work" for individual students. This comprehensive module will train LAMs on how to use Progress Monitor for determining students' "success levels," setting appropriate goals, determining instructional need, best practices for frequent data collection, describing interventions, and interpreting student data in meaningful ways. |

| 12:30pm: | Q&A, Review, and Implementation: In this segment, critical information to help inform your decision-making will be reviewed. We will also practice applying the information from this morning’s modules via small-group work to prepare you to guide your sites In this critical function. Your trainer will provide instruction, guidance, help inform decision-making, and offer support throughout this activity. |
| 1:00pm: | Progress Monitor Software Training (Part 1): Participants will use data generated from the practice exercises conducted earlier in the day and apply them to the AIMSweb® Software for Progress Monitoring. Instruction and hands-on activities are combined to help Local AIMSweb Managers (LAMs) learn how to use the AIMSweb® software in multiple ways, including setting up Progress Monitoring caseloads, conducting Survey Level Assessment within AIMSweb®, entering goal scores, defining interventions within AIMSweb®, entering progress monitor scores, understanding rates of improvement, and interpreting results over time. |
