Description
AIMSweb Pro Math consists of Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) testing materials and web-based software to provide schools with a 3 Tier Progress Monitoring and Response to Intervention System.
AIMSweb Pro Math includes the following assessments:
- TEN-CBM
- Test of Early Numeracy
- Mathematics Concepts and Applications (M-CAP)
- Math Computation (M-COMP)
Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM)
Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) is the method of monitoring student progress through direct, continuous assessment of basic skills. CBM assessment practices are based on 25 years of scientific research. These standardized tests are time efficient and inexpensive, yet produce accurate charts of student growth over time. Tests meet professional standards for reliability and validity.
3-Tier Progress Monitoring
AIMSweb Pro 3-Tier Progress Monitoring provides web-based data management, charting, and reporting for CBM assessment data to ‘inform’ the teaching and learning process by providing continuous student performance data and reporting improvement to parents, teachers, and administrators.
- TIER 1 Benchmark: Assess all students three times per year for universal screening, early identification, general education progress monitoring, and accountability.
- TIER 2 Strategic Monitor: Assess students of concern monthly and monitor the effects of instructional changes.
- TIER 3 Progress Monitor: Write individualized annual goals and monitor progress frequently for those students in need of intensive instructional services.
3-Tier Progress Monitoring enables evidence-based evaluation and data-driven instruction. It is a pro-active and preventative solution to inform instruction, demonstrate improvement, and report success.
Response to Intervention (RTI)
AIMSweb Pro's Response to Intervention (RTI) component is designed to provide a "best practices in problem-solving approach" to the RTI process including scientifically designed progress monitoring of students' educational need through Benchmark data and educational benefit through Progress monitoring data. It combines standard problem-solving tasks into a step by step protocol that documents the results, including who did what, when, and with what outcome. It is directive without being dictatorial and provides documentation without excess paper.
