Attention M-CBM & M-CBM2 users! Please read before printing out your M-CBM probes for the 2010-11 school year
AIMSWeb is introducing a new assessment, Mathematic Computation (M-COMP). M-COMP supports grades 1-8 and combines the current M-CBM (grades 1-6) and M-CBM2 (grades 7-8) into a single assessment. M-COMP will be used for universal screening and progress monitoring, and will replace M-CBM assessments completely by the start of the 2011-2012 school year.
M-COMP will be consistent with Mathematic Concepts and Applications (M-CAP) in terms of format, scoring rules, and reporting, and will contain enhanced content that aligns more closely with NCTM standards. M-COMP will also include a new manual that comprises updated administration, scoring, and technical information.
M-COMP will be available in August 2010. Although M-CBM and M-CBM2 will continue to be available on AIMSweb for the 2010-11 school year, we recommend that you transition to M-COMP for benchmarking and progress monitoring your students. If you are going to make the transition, please be aware that you will NOT NEED TO PRINT the old M-CBM and M-CMB2 probes prior to the availability of M-COMP.
